No one would deny that ethics reform in Louisiana is a good thing. Our history of often colorful and frequently nefarious political characters is charming in its own way, but it makes it impossible for the rest of the world to take us seriously as a place to live, work and invest. I'm for any ethics reform that can take the tarnish off that image, and I think most citizens feel similarly.
