During the session lawmakers approved major changes in job training and funding for state construction projects, but the issue of the lawmaker pay raise will probably be the one thing Louisiana voters remember. |
| National interest in Walker animals Groups from as far away as California are interested in adopting the animals at the center of a cruelty case in Livingston Parish. Samuel Stroup and Cindy Jones were arrested last week in Walker after more than 200 animals were found dead in and around their home. Roughly 600 living animals were also found. |
